Mango picking is physically demanding work and the weather will be hot and humid from September onwards in the NT (35-40’c).
Picking mangoes involves working long hours, doing repetitious tasks that can be physically demanding. Ladders are often used to reach mangoes perched high up in trees. Work will involve doing a fair amount of carrying and lifting. You will also be required to use clippers to reach fruit at the top of the trees so must be able to bend and stretch repeatedly.
Preference will be given to applicants who have already done some fruit picking work in Australia.
Applicants must be in the area ready to drive to the farm on Saturday / Sunday ready to start on Monday.
OWN CAR / TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL.
Accommodation is available on the farm for $120 per week including use of facilities.
